Snow Fun

Mason got a sled from his grandma for Christmas. We had been waiting for some good snow to take him out, and last week it came, light and fluffy. So we took the kids to a the park by our house because there is a good size hill for the little ones. It wasn't too cold and alot of fun. Avery looked so cute in her little winter outfit! And Mason had a blast! I took a little video of him and David, but blogger is being lame and won't upload it, GRRR! But I did snap some fun photos.

Mason wanted to take Avery down the hill, but we just let him hold her for a sec instead!

After awhile Mason was so brave and wanted to go down all by himself, though he did crash once, he was still determined to continue doing all by himself.

Avery was a trooper, and really enjoyed looking at all the snow.

5 Years!

Well, we made it! 5 YEARS BABE! Happy Anniversary! Man, it has gone by so fast, but it has been the best 5 years of my life. I couldn't have asked for a better man, and I even like my all in-laws too, BONUS! I just have to thank my sweet hubby for all the love and support, even through all my crazy stages and ideas! I was looking at our wedding photos, how tender! Man, I didn't feel like I am that much older, but I sure look it! Here are some of my favorites...

Alphabet Soup

We have been working with Mason on learning his letters, and what a fun way to practice - FOOD! Alphabet Soup requires preparation but a can opener and a microwave, my kinda work! It was so messy, but so much fun!

Searching for some letters

We spelled his name, but he INSISTED that his name had two O's in it!

Look at that mess

And here is a B for Broder!

My Boy is Growing Up!

Mason attended his first preschool class today... I can't believe it! Before I know it he will be graduating High School! Well okay, I better slow down a bit, but I really can't believe how fast this time has gone by. Let's just start with today. So we referred to a lady out here that does preschool in her home from a friend. We went and meet with her last week and checked out everything, needless to say that we were pleased and enrolled him. Mason was pretty excited to go today, he told me that he would be a "big boy" and not cry, but that didn't mean that I couldn't. Well, I didn't cry, but when I got home after dropping him off I felt a little lonely. So I watched the clock closely until it was pick-up time and rushed right over! The teacher told me that he did pretty good, he had some ups and downs of happy and sad, but Mason said he really liked it and wanted to go again tomorrow, that's a good sign. My little boy is growing up so fast! See let me show you...

Here he is before preschool today:

See the difference!

Blogging Bookclub

So I decided to join my new Ward's book club to kind of get to know people and to expand my vast knowledge of books (I think the last books I read, besides Twilight and Harry Potter, were my college text books!) And the idea came to me... I would invite any others to join me in my book club venture. You don't have to be in my ward, and you don't have to read the same book if you like. I just figured this might be fun to share some of our thoughts on books. So each month I will post a new book and at the end of the month I will post my thoughts, and those that want to participate can leave comments with their thoughts, feelings, etc. on that book or any other book that they have read/or are reading. You can also share some ideas of books that we can read, or books you may want to read. I think that this could be fun, so join in! The book this month is "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. I hope you all will participate, and I look forward to this new project.

P.S.
You can post this on your blog and try to get even more people involved!

Baby Talk

The last couple of weeks Avery has really began to goo and giggle, it is so stinkin cute! I tried to get a little video of her talking, it's not the best, but it is still fun. I really forgot all the little things and stages that these babies go through, it makes we want another one already! ...Not right now, but definitely in the future.
