Preschool Graduation

We had Mason's preschool graduation on Monday night. It was so darling! Each of the kids had a little part to say about things they can be when they grew up. Mason was a builder. You can't really understand everything he says because he was so excited and talking so fast, but it was cute and he worked hard memorizing his part!

"I really like to build things. I think builders are so cool! They build things like houses, stores, and even great big schools!" They also did a cute little song about hair that was fun...
Next was a little slide show of the kids and activities they did throughout the whole year. Then all the kids got little graduation hats and she called their names and got a diploma, so cute! Mason and his teacher Miss Ari, she is fabulous and we are going to miss her so much! Here are the refreshments I made for the graduation. Mason enjoying a book cupcake Here is the class pictures they got done a couple months ago, I just took them from the photographer's website, so don't mind the numbers (they were for ordering purposes). I can't believe that he is all done and will be going to Kindergarten in the fall, sniff sniff! Am I really ready for this?!?

YAY for Preschool!!!

Today was Mason's first day of preschool. We were both just a little bit excited...
This year he goes 2 days a week for 3 hours each day, HALLELUJAH! I know the time will go by so fast and before I know it he will be in Kindergarten, but I can't help but look forward to some quiet time around here. He is growing up so fast, and David is having a harder time with it than I am! He will probably be the one who cries when Mason does go to Kindergarten, but we will just enjoy it while it lasts.

Preschool Fun

So Mason has been going to preschool now for a couple months and is really enjoying it. I think his favorite part is Show & Tell, even though his usually consists of random things he borrows from Grandma's house (candles, leaves, etc.) Well, last week they celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday and he came home looking like this:

I thought it was so funny and cute. I figured, if he is "Thing 1", then who is "Thing 2"?

He has also been working on writing his name, and I personally think that he is doing really well! Even though it looks like "MASOM" And he drew a picture of himself too...

valentines fun

Mason had his first Valentine Party this year at preschool, so exciting! So I found all these cute Valentine printouts on this website Skip To My Lou and let him pick out which one he wanted to do, of course he picks the one with the most cutting and gluing! So I printed and cut and glued, then Mason got to help with the rest:

Mason wrote his name on all the valentines

Pretty Good!

The finished product!

They turned out super cute and lots of fun for all the kids, but next year I think we will probably just do the store bought ones.

I also let him make his own Valentine cake

Looks so yummy

My Boy is Growing Up!

Mason attended his first preschool class today... I can't believe it! Before I know it he will be graduating High School! Well okay, I better slow down a bit, but I really can't believe how fast this time has gone by. Let's just start with today. So we referred to a lady out here that does preschool in her home from a friend. We went and meet with her last week and checked out everything, needless to say that we were pleased and enrolled him. Mason was pretty excited to go today, he told me that he would be a "big boy" and not cry, but that didn't mean that I couldn't. Well, I didn't cry, but when I got home after dropping him off I felt a little lonely. So I watched the clock closely until it was pick-up time and rushed right over! The teacher told me that he did pretty good, he had some ups and downs of happy and sad, but Mason said he really liked it and wanted to go again tomorrow, that's a good sign. My little boy is growing up so fast! See let me show you...

Here he is before preschool today:
