A month of baby firsts
Well this month has been a big one for Avery. She received her first haircut, and now her first tooth has broken through! I had no idea, Mason was six months old before he got his first tooth! She has been drooling and chewing on things for awhile, but I just figured that she was a drool-machine just like her brother. On Friday night, Avery was just gnawing on David's finger and he felt it. It's a sharp little thing! But she has been such a little sweetie, I can tell she is not feeling too hot at times and sleeps a little more. What a trooper, it's so hard being a baby!

valentines fun
Mason had his first Valentine Party this year at preschool, so exciting! So I found all these cute Valentine printouts on this website Skip To My Lou and let him pick out which one he wanted to do, of course he picks the one with the most cutting and gluing! So I printed and cut and glued, then Mason got to help with the rest:

Assembly process

Mason wrote his name on all the valentines

Pretty Good!

Stuffing with candy

The finished product!
They turned out super cute and lots of fun for all the kids, but next year I think we will probably just do the store bought ones.
I also let him make his own Valentine cake

Looks so yummy

Who needs a fork!

First Haircut
So my little girl will be 4 months this weekend (I can't believe it), and she has already had her first haircut. Well, I don't know if I really consider this a "hair cut" it's more of a "trim", but her hair was just in her eyes all the time I had to do something!
Before

After

It is a little bit shorter than I originally intended, but she would wiggle a bit so I had to try and straighten it out more and more and more... I finally just stopped. Next time I think I will have to have Alex do it... please!
But it doesn't look so bad when I put a bow in it, and the way her hair grows it will be all back in a couple weeks anyway!

Snow Fun
Mason got a sled from his grandma for Christmas. We had been waiting for some good snow to take him out, and last week it came, light and fluffy. So we took the kids to a the park by our house because there is a good size hill for the little ones. It wasn't too cold and alot of fun. Avery looked so cute in her little winter outfit! And Mason had a blast! I took a little video of him and David, but blogger is being lame and won't upload it, GRRR! But I did snap some fun photos.

Mason wanted to take Avery down the hill, but we just let him hold her for a sec instead!

After awhile Mason was so brave and wanted to go down all by himself, though he did crash once, he was still determined to continue doing all by himself.

Avery was a trooper, and really enjoyed looking at all the snow.

5 Years!
Well, we made it! 5 YEARS BABE! Happy Anniversary! Man, it has gone by so fast, but it has been the best 5 years of my life. I couldn't have asked for a better man, and I even like my all in-laws too, BONUS! I just have to thank my sweet hubby for all the love and support, even through all my crazy stages and ideas! I was looking at our wedding photos, how tender! Man, I didn't feel like I am that much older, but I sure look it! Here are some of my favorites...

Alphabet Soup
We have been working with Mason on learning his letters, and what a fun way to practice - FOOD! Alphabet Soup requires preparation but a can opener and a microwave, my kinda work! It was so messy, but so much fun!

Searching for some letters

We spelled his name, but he INSISTED that his name had two O's in it!

Look at that mess

And here is a B for Broder!
